Secretary of Agriculture Ezra Taft Benson (writing from Washington D.C.) thanks Margaret Pitzer (Santa Cruz, California) for her recent letter. Margaret Pitzer has just visited Salt Lake City and has heard that Benson wants to run for a second term as Secretary of Agriculture. Benson corrects this rumor. He writes, "I am concerned only with being of service to the President and the American people during the present term," and that he is undecided about the next term. July 21, 1955. 1 page, on Department of Agriculture stationery. Signed by Ezra Taft Benson.
